The 部门 of Communication 科学 and 障碍 in the Brooks Rehabilitation College of 健康 科学 at Jacksonville University invites applications for a full-time, twelve month, nontenure-accruing position for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Communication 科学 & 障碍 at the instructional site in Palm Coast, FL. The 部门 is seeking a faculty member with expertise in supervision and clinical management.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and teach practicum courses for graduate speech-language pathology cohort
• Secure clinical placements for students in the Palm Coast cohort
• Work closely with clinical coordinator of Jacksonville cohort to ensure consistency of clinical content
• Serve as Palm Coast coordinator for clinical program
• Conduct site supervision visits providing feedback to student clinicians
• Develop and support clinical supervision education for site supervisors
• Provide service in the area of Communication 科学 & 障碍
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Effective instructional abilities, ability to professionally communicate\ and demonstrate skills techniques to communication sciences and disorders students
• Self-directed, have computer proficiency that includes the knowledge necessary to develop case scenarios and simulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of effective teaching techniques and curriculum development
• Proficient in facilitating development of student problem solving skills
• Ability to design effective learning activities for students
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & 经验

• MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent with 10+ years clinical experience
• Speech Language Pathology certification required
• Florida State Speech-Language Pathology licensure
• Evidence of continuing education coursework in supervision
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level
• Must have supervised clinical externs or practicum students, preferably within last 5年

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
• Near vision sufficient to read written communications, computer display screens
• Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
